Latin Music That Breaks Barriers And Pushes Boundaries

a Story about transformation

Every form of art can transform painful experiences into beauty. When my father passed away during the pandemic, I turned to music to cope. I wanted to preserve a part of him, so I used the sound of his heartbeat (as he was also a musician) to create music. This allowed me to transform his life into art, a way to be with him and remember him.

Remixes by Jamie Lidell, Matthew Herbert, Alva Noto, James Ellis Ford, Matthew Dear, and more!

I - SEPARATION

This is the story of how distancing from our original family changes our life for ever.

II - FREEDOM

Saying 'goodbye' is to grow. Saying 'NO' to everything that hurts us frees us in the most important search: the answer within ourselves.

III - REDEMPTION

Due to COVID-19, I couldn't say goodbye to my father in person; we did it via WhatsApp. It was the first and last time he told me he loved me.

IV - TRANSCENDENCE

Transformation is courage. Accepting the resilience to change death into life, pain into art, creates the future.
